LT-6 "Mosquito"

This aircraft was generously donated by two of the Dixie Wing Members, Cols Morris Ray and David Peeler. Originally an SNJ-4, a 6-year restoration has been completed as an LT-6D which was used in Korea as a forward air controller and called a Mosquito.

Thanks to our dedicated restoration crew, several truck loads of T-6 parts were organized to help restore this plane to flying condition. It will appear on the 2008 airshow circuit. Below is a photo journal of the progression of its progress that you soon will be able to see as a beautiful example of those LT-6 Mosquitos, including rockets, that were used very successfully in the Korean War.
