One of the main goals of the Commemorative Air Force is to maintain and fly our fleet of airplanes so that they are preserved as living history. We do this so that you and your children can experience the thrill of seeing—hearing—smelling a real, working airplane. Perhaps you will gain a deeper appreciation for what it took to design, build, and fly them.

Royal Air Force "Expeditor" Airplanes like this one were used to train bomber pilots how to fly multi-engined aircraft. They were also used for navigator, bombardier, and gunnery training in addition to cargo and VIP transport.   This one is painted identically to the personal transport of RAF Air Vice-Marshal Paddy Bandon in 1944 and flown by one of our members, Col Vic Hewes. If you want to experience what it was like to fly in a twin-engine VIP airplane, this one is for you.

The premiere fighter of WWII. This airplane needs no introduction. If you like high-performance airplanes, you HAVE to experience the thrill of sinking back in your seat when the pilot pushes the throttle up to takeoff power and rockets off the runway!

SBD "Dauntless"
One of only three still flying. This airplane was outdated by the time the war started, yet sank more tonnage of Japanese shipping than any other airplane. At the battle of Midway, this airplane earned its nickname "Slow But Deadly" when it was used to sink four Japanese carriers on that fateful day.

Restored over the past 3 years, this LT-6 Mosquito is an excellent example of the type used in Korea by the USAF to market targets with smoke rockets. Rides will be available in 2008.

By purchasing this rides voucher, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

All rides are a half-hour experience (20 minutes air time), unless otherwise indicated. Longer block times are available (ask the rides officer).
The rides voucher is good for one year from the date of purchase.
The date of the ride shall be determined through mutual agreement between the ride purchaser and the rides officer.
The place of the ride shall be at the Dixie Wing hangar located at Falcon field (KFFC) in Peachtree City, GA (unless the rides officer and purchaser agree upon an alternate location).
